Wellmore, a premier healthcare and wellness retirement community in Tega Cay, S.C., recently announced the appointment of Valarie Elliott as business manager.

In her new role, Elliott will manage the administrative and business aspects of the campus including payroll, accounts receivable and human resources. Under the supervision of the executive director, Elliott will maintain member and staffing files to promote seamless billing and compensation practices.

“We are excited to announce the addition of Valarie to our team,” said Executive Director Heather Rusnak. “She has a wealth of knowledge and proven track record in human resources and the senior living industry. She is also dedicated to continued learning which is always important when trying to employ continued best practices. She will be integral to promoting and maintaining Wellmore’s mission of redefining healthcare and aging through wellness as she hires our staff.”

Elliott is a seasoned human resources professional within the health care and retirement industries. She most recently served as human resources director and assistant business office manager for Consulate Health Care’s Hunter Woods Nursing and Rehabilitative Services located in Charlotte, N.C. She has also worked as human resources director and assistant business office manager for Consulate Health Care’s Wilora Lake Healthcare Center. Elliott has a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Belmont Abbey College. She is currently a Master of Business Candidate and Master of Business Plus Candidate at Gardner-Webb University with expected graduation in May 2017.

Wellmore of Tega Cay is slated to open in early June 2015 and will include 80 assisted living apartments, 48 skilled nursing suites and 24 Alzheimer’s and dementia care suites that will cater to a luxury lifestyle.
