Wellmore of Tega Cay (Wellmore), a premier healthcare retirement community in Tega Cay, S.C., has attested to meeting Argentum’s Phase 1 quality standards.

“By attesting that Wellmore meets Argentum Phase 1 standards, we are demonstrating to our members and their families our commitment to quality service, purpose-based programming and self-regulation,” said Executive Director David Dunn.

Introduced by Argentum in January 2016, these standards are designed to complement state laws and regulations governing the operations of senior living communities. Each year, Argentum will publish a new set of standards that will act as key quality indicators and track quality improvement.

Dunn calls the standards a “strategic investment in the future of all care levels at Wellmore.” This includes assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and short-term rehab.

Wellmore attested that the community meets the following standards:

  • Consumer Disclosure
  • Resident Rights
  • Resident-centered care
  • Infrastructure
  • Staff training and qualifications
  • Programming
  • Medication delivery
  • Quality improvement
  • Dining
  • Regulatory compliance and enforcement
  • Workforce
  • Memory care

In order to maintain compliance with Argentum standards, Wellmore must reapply each year. The community’s current certificate of attestation is valid until March 2017.
