Chris Burkart Wins 2024 Supernova Award

The Supernova Award represents our company’s pinnacle of individual achievement. The award, chosen through anonymous voting of their peers, is presented to the standout team member of the year.

Our Executive Team presents the Supernova Award during the Senior Living Communities Annual Meeting Memory Gala, a night dedicated to celebrating those who excel in their profession, foster a culture of compassionate professionalism and positive leadership, and put people first, always.

This year, we are proud to congratulate our Director of Dining Services, Christopher Burkart, as the recipient of the 2024 Wellmore of Daniel Island Supernova Award. Chris makes our full-service dining program the best restaurant in town through his leadership and supervision of the culinary team, his commitment to the quality and diversity of food, and his adherence to local and state regulatory standards.

Chris, a true Charleston local, has been a part of the food and beverage industry for over 26 years. His journey with the Wellmore team began with unknowns about working in a senior living community, but it quickly transformed into a deep sense of belonging. As he formed personal connections with the Members, he found his calling. Chris sees his role not just as a job but as a privilege and an opportunity to make each day special for our Members, whom he now considers his extended family.
