2025 Silver Pen Winners

Wellmore of Tega Cay is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Silver Pen Competition. On May 1st 2025, Wellmore of Tega Cay hosted the two winners and their friends and families for an awards dinner. There, they were presented with $3,750 cash prizes. The essay topic for 2025 was as follows:

If you could have a conversation with anyone, living or deceased, who would it be and why? What would you discuss with that person?

Wellmore of Tega Cay Members who made up the judging panel also selected the essay topic. The Silver Pen Writing Competition is an essay competition that Wellmore of Tega Cay’s parent company, The Maxwell Group, started in 2012 to bridge the communication gap between high school seniors and community Members. Each participant submitted a written essay with a minimum of 1,000 words. Over the past eleven years, they have award these scholarships to high school seniors to help differ tuition cost.
