Oktoberfest at Wellmore of Tega Cay
On October 18th, 2019 Members at Wellmore of Tega Cay enjoyed a celebration of the wonderful German tradition, Oktoberfest! Members started the day with an axe throwing competition to see who could rack up the most points! In the afternoon, they learned about European Festivals, enjoyed soft pretzels with beer cheese, and did a beer tasting! For dinner our Dining Services team created a delicious traditional meal. Members enjoyed Pork Schnitzel, Herb Crusted Tilapia, and Bratwurst Mit Kraut served with potato pancakes, braised cabbage, spaetzle, and German green beans.
After dinner, the Foothills Oompah Band performed for the community! They played for about two hours and had our Members singing and dancing the whole time! A few Members even took over the mic. Providing a space where Members at Wellmore can explore their passions is important to the leadership team. Our full-time Social Director creates a monthly Signature Experience that focuses on dining, wellness, and social components for the day.
