Top 5 Events of 2023
As 2023 ends, it is the perfect time to look back and remember all the fabulous and fun events at Wellmore of Tega Cay. Our team pushed the boundaries to create unique experiences for our Members. The dedicated Social and Wellness Directors created detailed, packed calendars that gave our Members plenty of adventures! From sensational Signature Experiences to hoppin’ happy hours to exciting excursions and so much more, this year was one for the record books, making it difficult to narrow down our top events.
Get ready to count down our top five events for this year:
5. Oktoberfest
Prost! Members at Wellmore had a grand time at their Oktoberfest celebrations! Members walked into the Bistro to find it fit for a traditional German celebration! They participated in stein-holding contests to create an appetite for delicious beer, cheese, and pretzels! The community welcomed their favorite, Oops Polka Band, for a grand performance. They had everyone on their feet dancing to the beat of the music. The Chicken Dance is a traditional jig that Oktoberfest participants do, so of course, Members had to do it as well.
4. Spellabration
This year, our community hosted a Spellabration for a Signature Experience. Members brushed up on their spelling bee skills and prepared for a day of games! Members were invited into the Bistro for delicious cocktails and snacks to fuel up before the fun began! The game show “Spin It to Spell It” brought contestants up to spin for the play. Team captains’ spin of the wheel determined the length of the word each team would have to spell. It was such a fun experience for Members to work together and show their literary skills.
3. Cruise Signature Experience
Wellmore of Tega Cay took their Members on an exciting Cruise for their Signature Experience! During this cruise, Members enjoyed a magic show, tested their luck in the casino, and danced the night away on the upper deck. The Marvelous Mr. Marvels and his assistant wowed Members with their magic show! After the magic show, our Members hit the floor of the Wellmore Casino Royale! They tried roulette and blackjack with our fabulous dealers, Chip and Dale. After winning big, attendees were ready to party, so they headed to the Cruise Party, where there was an exceptional performance by singer Theresa E. She was terrific and even sang the Love Boat theme song! Captain Stacy then directed Members to their tables, where they enjoyed a delicious meal and our specialty Starboard cocktail!
2. Springtime on The Farm
The best things in life are the simple things in life. Our Members returned to the farm for a “Springtime on the Farm” Signature Experience. They did this by holding and petting cute farm animals, listening to some good ole country tunes, and enjoying the fantastic dining team’s delicious Grazing Station meal. To begin the event, Members had a delightful goat yoga session! They especially loved just spending quality time and cuddling the baby goats. Goat yoga also has a lot of health benefits for Members, from helping with relaxation to increasing mental stimulation, as well as being an excellent cardiovascular exercise! Once the cuddling with the cutest baby goats was over, Members began to mingle with alpacas from Charlotte’s Freedom Farm! These alpacas had the gentlest spirits, and Members loved them! After the cuteness overload, our Members returned inside for Cowboy Dandy Don’s western singing and guitar playing.
1. Senior Prom
There is nothing better than dancing the whole night away! This year, Wellmore hosted its first annual Senior Prom! Members and team members got dressed to the nines for this event. Everyone went to the photo booth to capture when they arrived at the prom! After a quick picture, everyone made their way to the dance floor! Attendees spent the night dancing to live music performed by the fantastic Freddy Tripp. If anyone got tired, they could grab some delicious appetizers and champagne before returning to the dance floor. The prom wouldn’t have been complete without crowning a Prom King and Queen! Congratulations to the new king and queen of our community!
And just like that, this year is ending, and we are ready to start another fantastic year full of fabulous events. We can’t wait to see what this year holds and how it will surpass this year’s events!
