× Living the Weller Life– October 2020 –Veterans DayOur Veterans are so important to us at Wellmore and we wanted to honor them on Veterans Day! 🇺🇸 We welcomed guest speaker, Dr. Kenneth Vanek, a retired USAF Lt. Colonel and a Vietnam era veteran who is listed in “Who’s Who In America” and is nationally known in the field of Medical Physics. He did a wonderful job speaking to out Veterans and Claire ended the presentation with patriotic music as our members sang along. As a ‘throwback’ to honor the strength of our Veterans, our Members put their fitness to the test with a boot camp! 💪🏼 To close out the day, we truly spoiled our Veterans with a steak lunch 🥩 and drove them on a ‘mystery ride’ to beautiful Patriots Point – Home of the USS Yorktown and USS Laffey. We are so grateful for all of their incredible service to our country. 🇺🇸Halloween#Flashback Friday to Halloween when our community was getting creative with pumpkins! Our Members in Reflections, our Memory Care neighborhood when they created ‘boo-tiful’ pumpkins to decorate our hallway! While our friends in Assisted Living enjoyed making wine cork pumpkins while sipping toddies and enjoying apple turnovers!
