Charleston Festival of Houses and Gardens
April – May 2021In collaboration with the Historic Charleston Foundation, the annual Festival of Houses & Gardens is a gateway to the Holy City’s veiled charm and splendor. You’ll have the opportunity to step inside of some of the city’s private residences and learn about the distinctive architecture and history. In addition to home tours, there will be a variety of luncheons, concerts and other lifestyle events for all ages to attend. LowCountry Oyster Festival
January 31, 2021The Lowcountry Oyster Festival is the world’s largest oyster festival and has been named one of the top 20 events in the southeast. Located at historic Boone Hall Plantation, this charitable fundraiser will benefit charity and education partners. Throughout the day attendees will enjoy a variety of food and drink selections, live music, a children’s play area and more! Cooper River Bridge Run
August 1, 2020The Cooper Bridge Run is an annual 10K running event across Charleston’s iconic Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge. Over 40,000 runners participate annually and it’s considered the 3rd largest 10K and the 5th largest road race in the United States. Competitors from across the globe come for this historic race. Charleston Water Week
September 5 – 13, 2020Celebrate the Charleston waterways with 8 days of fun on the water in the lowcountry! Did you know for every acre of land in Charleston, there is 1/2 acre of water? Perhaps this is the reason why Charlestonian’s spend their days outdoors competing, exercising, exploring, dining and enjoying time on the water! During Charleston Water Week participate in water related recreational activities with everything from sailing to jet skiing, paddleboarding to dragon boat racing! Charleston Duck Race
October 10, 2020Established by the Rotary Club of Daniel Island in 2007, the Charleston Duck Race is an annual rotary club charity duck race that continues to grow each year! To enter, donate $10 to adopt a rubber duck. Approximately 30,000 rubber ducks will be entered in the race. On the day of the race, the ducks will be dropped from high atop the I-526 Wando River Bridge where a few of the fastest “Lucky Ducks” to cross the finish line will win big – up to $10,000! The event proceeds fund Rotary community service program and Lowcountry charities. These charities represent a wide selection of local nonprofit organizations.
