Top 5 Social Events of 2020
1. Easter Parade
Holidays are an important time to honor old traditions and start new ones too. Our Wellmore of Tega Cay family came together for a community parade! We invited Members and families to join us in a vehicle parade and to wave and cheer them on. Members put signs in their windows and watched as their loved ones drove around cheering!
2. Christmas Parade
Here at Wellmore of Tega Cay, we are finding safe and special ways for our Members to celebrate the holidays this year. Our Christmas Car Parade brought the Christmas cheer to Wellmore of Tega Cay! Friends and family decorated their cars to drive around our community to honk and wave signs for Members. We are thankful to have the support of so many loved ones during this time as well as Tega Cay Fire Department and Tega Cay Police Department! The Tega Cay Fire Department and Kay Jewelers generously donated teddy bears and cards to be distributed to our Members for the holidays!
3. Bicycle in Reflections
“It’s as easy as riding a bike.” We had a donation to our community of this amazing pink bike! Members felt like kids again, spending the day riding through their neighborhoods, the wind flowing through their hair!
4. Valentines Day Singing Grams
In February, our community had a very special Valentine’s Day this year. Members were treated to a scrumptious buffet of both sweet and savory treats throughout the day. Our team wanted to do something special this year for our Members and fundraising for The Walk To End Alzheimer’s. A $5 donation allowed the donor to pick a person for Team Members to sing to! Singing grams are a way to spread love, joy, and happiness throughout the community! “Love” by Frank Sinatra and “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” by Bing Crosby were ringing through the halls! These singing grams had all of our Members in the spirit of spreading love and joy on Valentine’s Day!
5. Lodge Paint Classes
Our Members in The Lodge enjoy spending time working on a variety of projects. While exploring different mediums, painting has been a favorite. In 2020, Members created many masterpieces that have hung throughout the community. Everything from beach balls to rolling hills, to towering mountainscapes, and more!
